As part of the Bringing Back Staff (BBS) programme, some professional body registers created alternative / temporary registers to record the professional registrations of staff who were returning to work, to support the Covid-19 pandemic response.
The data held in these alternative registers is stored and managed differently across the separate professional bodies. This means that whilst you may have a valid registration as a result of taking part in the BBS programme, it may not appear when the central professional body register is checked by Amiqus, e.g. on the GMC register.
Therefore in order for NHSBSA to progress with your recruitment, they need to identify who is registered on an alternative register. This means that other methods of verifying your professional registration can be conducted, if you do not appear on the relevant central professional body register.
