Amiqus is a secure, digital compliance platform that enables you to run background checks, right-to-work checks, identity verification, and more – all from one place. By integrating Amiqus with your workflow, you can streamline your compliance and onboarding processes with minimal effort.

Setting Up the Integration
You'll need to be an admin user on Amiqus and have Admin privileges on Bullhorn to complete the set-up.
What You’ll Need
- Amiqus Integration Enabled: Email support@amiqus.co to request this feature for your Amiqus account.
- You'll need to contact Bullhorn and ask them to add the following redirect URI: https://api.stackone.com/connect/oauth2/bullhorn_ats/callback

From Bullhorn, you'll also need
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- API Username
These are unique identifiers for your account. If you don't already have these, please contact Bullhorn Support/Submit a ticket via the Bullhorn Resource Center.
- Identify an unused Custom Field for Data Storage in Bullhorn - The connection to Amiqus will store Background Check information within a custom field in Bullhorn. To make sure existing data isn't overwritten, you'll need to identify an unused custom field. You will be able to select customTextBlock 1 - 10 for this “Custom Field” in the connection step below.
Connection Steps
- Once the Bullhorn integration has been enabled and you have the above information, navigate to the Workflow>Team apps area of your Amiqus account (https://id.amiqus.co/team/workflow/apps)
- Click Connect Bullhorn account.

You'll need to copy your External Trigger Token for a later step. Enter the rest of the information in the pop-up window and click Connect.
- A pop-up window will appear, log in to your Bullhorn account to authorize account access.
Adding Amiqus as a Custom Tab

In Bullhorn, click Menu > Admin > View Layout.

Select Candidate for the Field Map Entity. Then click the Custom Tab button.

Click the Add New button (you may need to scroll to the bottom of the page). Enter the required information in the fields:
- Name: Amiqus Background Check
- Enabled: Check this box.
- URL: https://api.stackone.com/external-trigger/bullhorn_ats?externalTriggerToken=********** replacing the asterisks with your External Trigger Token from step 3 in the Connection Steps.
- User Types: select those groups of users you want to have access to this Amiqus Check tab.
- Click Save. Amiqus and Bullhorn are now connected.
Creating Templates
Before you can send requests, you'll need to have at least one Live request template set up in Amiqus to select from. You can find information on how to create request templates in the following articles:

Please note that any messaging within your templates will be the same for all candidates; there are no dynamic fields within the messaging (eg for the candidates name).
Sending Amiqus Requests in Bullhorn

Click any candidate from your candidate list.

On the candidate detail page, you'll find the Amiqus Background Check tab.

Click Send Background Check.

Select the request template you'd like to use and click Send.

A new record will be added with a Pending status.
Setting up notifications
If you would like to receive notifications on the check status, we recommend assigning yourself and/or a colleague to the person and/or request in Amiqus, that way you'll be notified when the candidate completes the request.
You can do this on an individual basis within each person or request, or you can set this up within a request template.
You can customise your notification settings at any time, choosing from in app and/or email notifications.
Check Results
Once the candidate has completed their request, they'll be marked as Ready for Review, in Amiqus. Once you are happy with the check results, you will need to mark the request as Reviewed.
Once the check has been marked as Reviewed, the check status in Bullhorn will update to Completed and you'll be provided with a link direct to the results.

Amiqus Integration Workflow
After the integration is enabled, here's how the process works:
- Candidate Details Sent to Amiqus: When you send a request, Bullhorn sends the candidate's first name, last name, and email address to Amiqus. Make sure these fields are complete.
- Candidate Receives Request: The candidate gets an email with check details based on the selected template.
- Candidate Completes Checks: The candidate completes the required checks online.
- Review Results: Mark the check as Reviewed once you are happy with the results.
- Bullhorn Updated: The check status is updated with the results and a link to view the full results on Amiqus.
