Additionally, this requirement also extends to those holding licenses from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and individuals registered with the Gambling Commission.
These disclosures are necessary to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in their respective fields, promoting transparency and accountability. Level 2 disclosures now replace the earlier Standard and Enhanced disclosures issued under the Police Act.
The report includes details of any unspent convictions, relevant spent convictions, childhood convictions, children's hearing outcomes, and unspent cautions (excluding childhood cautions). It also covers notification requirements, such as instructions to follow when someone is placed on the Sex Offenders Register, along with other relevant information held by the police.
Disclosure Scotland Level 2 with Barred List
This disclosure requirement applies in specific circumstances involving certain personal and household activities. For example, individuals adopting a child, providing a home under the Homes for Ukraine scheme, or sharing a household with a foster carer or childminder are typically expected to provide this disclosure.
Additionally, those living on school premises with school care accommodation, such as in a boarding school, and not employed by or attending the school as a pupil, may also need to disclose. Furthermore, individuals living with a shared lives carer who provides care in their home and maintains contact with their family are subject to this requirement.
This report with barred list check includes details of unspent convictions, relevant spent convictions, certain spent childhood convictions and children’s hearings outcomes. It also reports unspent cautions, excluding childhood cautions, as well as notification requirements, such as instructions on how to follow when someone is on the Sex Offenders Register. Additionally, it shows if someone is on or under consideration for inclusion on the barred lists for work with children or adults, and if they’ve had any prescribed civil court orders.
